Our family-run organic farm ‘De Buitenman’ stands on the extensive moors and woodland of the ‘Landgoed de Utrecht’ estate. We grow asparagus and rear calves, but also manage our lovely natural surroundings.
This is the perfect place to relax, where you can dream away your cares among fields of green and delicate asparagus, and where cows graze on ancient commons and streams burble through the dips and hollows in this gentle landscape. Get closer to your soul in a place where nature sets the rhythm and the hours and minutes float by unseen. Where chickens endlessly scratch around the farmyard, while cows, sheep and horses graze laconically in the green meadows beyond. And if you want to go further afield, then there are many walking, cycling and horse-riding routes nearby ‘De Buitenman’, winding through woods and over moors, sometimes stopping at pretty Kempische villages on either side of the border with Belgium. On the edge of this green oasis you will discover the dynamic, modern city of Eindhoven and also the ancient cathedral town of Tilburg, both bustling, vibrant communities and worthy of a visit. If you feel the urge to go shopping, then where better than to go than the “Heuvel Galerie’ in Eindhoven, or the ‘Emma Passage’ in Tilbug, where you won’t be disappointed at the range and quality of the goods on sale. We extend a warm welcome to come and visit our farm shop where we stock all sorts of regional products. If you’re having a party we can prepare delicious organic meals and serve them in our beautiful 400-year old Kempische barn. We have accommodation on the farm for groups of up to twenty guests. Bed and breakfast can also be provided. You will find our farmhouse full of character and very relaxing to stay in while enjoying a little bit of the genuine country life. In the evenings gather around the crackling fire for a drink before or after dinner. In the mornings breakfast can be taken in a lovely room opening onto the garden, or in the open air, on the large terrace. We have rooms to accommodate either 2, 3, 4 or 10 persons • Terrace, bath and shared sitting room • No smoking • Nearby (500m) there is a holiday park where use can be made of the sauna, inside and outside swimming pools, café, restaurant, children’s play area and tennis courts.
